Connecting Stripe for Payments

Invoice For Me uses Stripe Connect to let your clients pay invoices online. Once connected, every invoice you send includes a "Pay Now" button.

Setting Up Stripe Connect

1. Go to Settings → Payments
2. Click Connect with Stripe
3. You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding flow where you'll:

- Create a Stripe account (or log into an existing one)

- Verify your identity and business details

- Connect your bank account for payouts

4. After completing onboarding, you'll be redirected back to Invoice For Me with Stripe fully connected

What Your Clients See

When a client opens an invoice email and clicks Pay Now, they're taken to a secure payment page. Depending on your Stripe configuration, they can pay via:

• Credit or Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
• ACH Bank Transfer (US clients)
• Apple Pay and Google Pay (on supported devices)
• Link (Stripe's one-click checkout)

Transaction Fees

Invoice For Me charges a small transaction fee on online payments:

• Select plan: 1% per transaction
• Premier plan: 0.5% per transaction
• Executive plan: 0.5% per transaction

These are in addition to Stripe's standard processing fees (typically 2.9% + 30¢ per card transaction).

Payouts

Stripe deposits payments to your connected bank account on a rolling basis (typically 2 business days). You can view payout details in your Stripe dashboard.

Disconnecting Stripe

If you ever need to disconnect, go to Settings → Payments and click Disconnect Stripe. Outstanding invoice payment links will stop working, but already-completed payments are unaffected.
