Using AI to Create Invoices

Invoice For Me's AI assistant lets you create invoices by describing what you need in plain English — no forms, no clicking through fields.

How It Works

From the dashboard or the Invoices page, click AI Invoice (or tap the chat icon on mobile). A chat window opens where you can describe your invoice in natural language.

The AI reads your message, extracts the client name, line items, quantities, prices, due date, and currency, then generates a complete invoice draft for you.

Example Prompts

Here are some examples of what you can type:

• "Invoice Acme Corp $2,500 for website redesign, due in 30 days"
• "Send Sarah Chen an invoice for 10 hours of consulting at $150/hr"
• "Bill Martinez Design for logo design ($800) and brand guidelines ($1,200), due next Friday"
• "Create an invoice in EUR for 3 months of social media management at €500/month for Berlin Digital GmbH"

You can be as brief or detailed as you like. The AI will fill in sensible defaults for anything you leave out.

Editing After Generation

After the AI generates your invoice, you'll see a full preview. You can:

• Edit any field — client details, line items, amounts, dates
• Add or remove line items
• Change the currency or due date
• Send immediately or save as draft

The AI draft is just a starting point. You have full control before anything goes out.

Limits

On the Standard (Free) plan, you can create up to 3 AI invoices per month. Paid plans include unlimited AI invoice creation.
